Tea and Toast
The Tea and Toast rota is in need of more volunteers for the remainder of the school term. If you could spare an hour or so on Wednesday mornings to help out please sign up on the list at the back of church.
If you would like to know more about what’s involved, please speak to Janet Chitty.
We will decorate the church with flowers for Christmas on Saturday 21st December from 10.30 am
(following Morning Prayer). This pleasant task is open to any who would like to come along. Please sign
up on the list at the back of church if you are able to help.
Donations of greenery would be much appreciated. This can be left in church on the preceding Friday
or early on the Saturday. Queries to Janet Chitty (500229)
Lifts to Church
Can you help?
A number of the congregation require a lift to Church. In the past a list of volunteers has been held by Doreen Wintle and Dee Foulds. However, this list has diminished to the extent that more volunteers are required urgently. If anyone feels able to help please contact either Doreen, Dee or a Church Warden.
Do you have a necklace with a broken clasp, a brooch you never wear, even a single earring or cuff link? The Alzheimer’s Society will recycle them to raise much needed funds to support people with dementia. They have sent me special postal bags and if you will let me have anything you have I will forward it on. I am usually in Church Sunday mornings so anything left there will eventually find me. Thanking you in advance Margaret Brown.
Our aim is to provide a chance for families to have some time together, having fun, expressing their God-given creativity whilst inviting people into an experience of Christian community. We meet in the church hall for the craft based activities based around a Christian theme and then take a short walk over to the church for a 15min act of worship when the children share what they have made and we explore the theme through drama, story and prayer, this is then followed by afternoon tea together back in the church hall.
Next Messy Church TBA
Especially for the younger members of the family, but all are welcome, so why not join us for fun, food and fellowship?
There are plenty of opportunities to get involved with Messy Church next weekend. If you’d like more information, or to volunteer please speak to Lynne Robinson or contact Elaine Simpson on 0788 7565 089.
Home/Bible Study Group
After our lent group some of us mooted the idea of continuing to meet up for fellowship and an informal Bible Study. Groups have begun to meet on a monthly basis but new members will be welcome. If you would like to join a group please speak to one of the clergy.
The next Jumble Sale will be held on Saturday 25th January 2014. Selling from 12 noon.
Help with donations, sorting and selling will be much appreciated. More information from Janet Chitty (500229) or
