Calling all Holy Dusters!

Our loyal band of ‘Holy Dusters’ has been in existence for a long time and several members of the band now feel that they can no longer manage the work required. The Church is large and keeping it clean and tidy is no small task.

We urgently need new volunteers to replace those retiring from the job. It is not too time consuming – about 2 hours every 5 weeks. We have had to reduce the number of groups as we have lost members so we hope to welcome at least 4 volunteers. Further information is available from Betty Taylor (527015) or Doreen Wintle (312813)

TEA & TOAST AT TRINITY

It’s time to sign up for the new term! 8am may seem a bit early to turn out, but it is well worth the effort as this, as well as being an important piece of outreach, is an enjoyable experience. So, if you’ve not tried it before why not give it a go!. The list is at the back of the church.

If more information is needed, ask a regular – Jane Whitmore, Gill Lyes or Janet Chitty.

                   REVEREND MARTIN ENNIS

Martin is to be made Vicar of the Parish of Tividale in the Midlands on 18th October – The Feast of St Luke.  We wish him well in his new post.  Our thoughts and prayers will be with him and his family as they strive to acclimatise to their new surroundings and circumstances. His contribution to the ministry at Holy Trinity is greatly appreciated.  Arrangements are in hand for attendance at his induction service.

                       FAIRTRADE STALL

The Fairtrade stall will soon need a new shopkeeper when we leave this parish: could this be you?

It would be unfortunate if this important piece of outreach work ceased, so please come and talk to me as soon as possible well before we leave, and I will give you all the information you need.

Thanks.

Nikki Ennis

Parish Partnership with Leksand

Last year a group from the Parish of Leksand in Sweden visited us from Vasternas our Diocesan Link in Sweden.

We shall be welcoming the Children and Youth Choir from Leksand over the weekend 23rd/24th October.  They are hoping to present a concert and join in the singing at our service on the Sunday – another date for your diary.
